Worlds Fastest Boat Beaten By Wood

The new pirate-busting, fastest boat in the world, which costs £1.2 Million was taken out yesturday...By a piece of driftwood!!!

The superboat specifically made to battle the sea pirates crashed on a demo run after hitting a piece of wood floating along.

The superboat, called the XSR Interceptor can reach a top speed of 100MPH! But was brought to a stand still in the river Thames. It's propeller got jammed from the impact and the superboat was knocked off course, it then went on to hit the dock. No one was hurt in the accident.

This demo was being shown to potential buyers of the superboat, which is coated in Kevlar. Potential buyers included the Ministry Of Defense (MOD). The makers must of been very embarrassed! So the question on everyones lips...Why, or how could a piece of driftwood disable a superboat built for protection against pirates? This superboat was specifically made to be tough. It has state of the art equipment and technology. It even has two remote controlled machine guns! I wonder what excuse the makers came up with!...

I thought the fastest boat in the world would be quicker then 100 miles per hour.......More closer to 200MPH.

I thought this was 2009 not 1989.

It's difficult to gain high speeds on water

Me and me mates could build a better boat out of a few tesco shopping trolleys and some big water drums
